Fishing Lake Erie

Fishing in Western Lake Erie is arguably the best all around fishing in the world. Things have been going quite well in the Wheatley area so far this year.

I have had a lot of fun the last couple of weeks. Although I have caught fish the last seven trips out, Saturday morning I GOT SKUNKED. See Jason, (one of my readers just getting into the fishing game) it happens to everyone. I don’t know if I need to move away from my little favorite spot. Last I heard, rainbow fishing was slow Saturday morning but they were catching a few more 8-10 miles east of there. I may need to run east next trip but the location I have been fishing in my S.S. Minnow at 4.5 miles out was really handy. Stay tuned – lots of Wheatley rainbow fishing to come!
