Fishing About to Turn On at Wheatley

I broke the ice yesterday fishing out of Wheatley.

I went out to my usual stomping grounds SSE and started around the well marker there. I worked out and east and picked up 2 walleye in 52 feet of water. It was not a huge day but picking up 2 fish was significant. I marked a number of fish down deep and surface temp was 65 degrees. Things are looking good and setting up nicely again. We just need a few warm days and calm winds. I suspect we are only a week to 10 days away from things really cranking on.
